"We have been on the receiving end of 'request a demo' enterprise sales for an entire career, and we hate it. Council Pulse offers a free trial with no card required and lets you cancel from your account page. The Teams tier is the exception, since those conversations are genuinely different for every firm. Email founders@councilpulse.ca and you will get a real reply, not a sales deck."

Questions

Frequently asked

Where does Council Pulse get its data?

We aggregate data from publicly available council agendas, staff reports, and permit information across 25+ Vancouver Island municipalities. Every field on a pulse carries a provenance tag indicating whether it was extracted from the source document, inferred from context, or enriched from a third-party reference such as zoning bylaws or BC Assessment data. Source documents are linked from every pulse so you can verify any number in seconds.

How accurate is the data?

Extracted fields (applicant name, unit count, address) have been 99%+ accurate across our QA testing. Inferred fields (construction type, likely consultants) ship with a confidence rating and the reasoning shown on the pulse detail page. Anything we are not confident about, we do not ship.

What is the trial like?

Two weeks of full Pro access on every new account, no card required. You will get the full digest, the unlocked Coming-to-Council list, and contractor briefs on every pulse. After 14 days you stay on Free unless you choose to upgrade.

Do you cover my municipality?

We currently cover 25 municipalities across the CRD, RDN, and Comox Valley Regional District, with new municipalities added regularly. If yours is not on the list, drop us a line and we will usually have it within four weeks for active customers.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from your account page. No retention calls, no email gauntlets. Your access continues to the end of the billing period and your saved searches stick around in case you come back.
