Notch Hill, near Fairwinds Golf Course and adjacent to CFMETR property

The Regional District of Nanaimo is proposing a $50,000 budget amendment for preconstruction works on the Notch Hill Reservoir #3 project, located at Notch Hill near Fairwinds Golf Course and adjacent to CFMETR property. The reservoir is required under a Development Agreement with the Lakes District developer and forms part of the RDN’s capital improvement plan for the Nanoose Bay Peninsula Water Service Area. No additional land purchase is needed; the RDN will expand its existing statutory right-of-way on Notch Hill. If the May 26 budget amendment is approved, detailed design and procurement would follow in late 2026, with construction likely in 2027.
